EB-LINK recently completed the batch supply of a 100G optical fiber interconnection upgrade project between buildings in a large data center in East China. The products include 100G optical modules, high-speed optical fiber network cards and supporting jumpers. After the delivery is completed, the project will immediately enter the cutover implementation stage.

Project background and delivery difficulties

The original link speed between multiple buildings in the center is relatively low, and the east-west data synchronization between buildings has long been restricted by bandwidth. This transformation requires switching to 100G channels one by one without interrupting existing services. The difficulty lies in the long optical fiber distance between buildings and tight loss budget. The module's luminous power and receiving sensitivity margin must be calculated link by link. Any indicator drift may be exposed during cutover. The site also requires that the old and new links do not lose packets during the parallel period, and the cutover can only be carried out in multiple night windows based on floors and bundles.

Customer value and follow-up arrangements

Delivery supported100G optical fiber interconnection upgrade between buildings in a large data center in East ChinaThe project started smoothly and the synchronization window between buildings was significantly shortened after the cutover. This batch of delivery comes with individual test reports to facilitate customer archiving and subsequent comparison. The EB-LINK technical team will continue to follow up on site feedback, and the second batch of expansion modules can be scheduled in advance through 0755-83179002.
