In mid-July, EB-LINK completed the enhancement of the factory testing process for 100M/100M SFP optical modules. On the basis of link-by-link testing, two new steps were added: DDM threshold determination and batch compatibility random testing, so as to keep critical products in the factory.
What was added to the testing session
- Read the TX/RX optical power, temperature and power supply voltage one by one. If the threshold is exceeded, it will be intercepted.
- Sample loading and testing in batches on mainstream platforms such as Cisco, Huawei, H3C, Ruijie, etc.
- For long-distance models above 20KM, a margin on the sensitivity side is added.
- Appearance and label review to prevent mislabeling of models and cross-selling of goods
Why focus on strengthening 100M Gigabit
100M/Gigabit modules are used in large quantities and in complex distribution scenarios. They are used from the campus access layer to the monitoring point box. If a small proportion of problems are added to a large base, the on-site cost will be considerable: if a port is disconnected or has a false alarm, troubleshooting often takes hours. Refining the test granularity to the DDM value of a single module can block most critical products at the factory stage; for projects arriving in batches, the same factory data caliber also means that on-site parameters can be directly applied.
What can the customer feel?

Bulk customers can apply for prototype testing of the corresponding platform in advance. EB-LINK technical support will respond within working days.
This enhancement has covered the existing 100M and 1000M ready series, and the test process upgrades for 2.5G and 10G models will be promoted in batches. For project consultation, please call 0755-83179002, or you can also query the test data of the batches in the library.
