Recently, EB-LINK completed the batch delivery of audio and video optical transceivers for a city's radio and television studio renovation project. 3G-SDI, HDMI with two-way audio, and DVI equipment arrived at the same time to undertake the transmission of video signals and calls between the studio and the director.

Difficulties of the project: complex signal sources, cross-floors, fear of interference

The studio and the director are separated by two floors and a strong electric bridge shaft. The hybrid cabling of coaxial SDI extension cable and HDMI across two floors is a fault-prone section. Long-distance HDMI occasionally flashes black, and the interference caused by the thyristor of the dimming console also leaves a hum in the audio. The transformation goal is clear: all cross-floor links will be fiber optic, and call and program audio will accompany the video.

Solution: Each of the three types of equipment performs its own duties

All devices undergo pairing and optical power testing one by one before shipment. What happens after delivery

The first batch of equipment has been powered on and commissioned in conjunction with the on-site engineer, and two standby machines are left on site to handle temporary activities; the second batch includes 4-way two-way HDMI models, which are scheduled to arrive before the end of the month and will be used for extended workstations and temporary comment seats in the news studio. The project party reported that the most intuitive change after fiber opticization was that there were no flash black records during two consecutive rehearsals, and the audio noise floor also dropped significantly with the fiber optic isolation.

The three types of models delivered this time can be found under the category of audio and video optical transceivers on the official website. Similar studio projects can apply for plan review. The consultation phone number is 0755-83179002.
