This month, EB-LINK shipped a batch of communication transformation equipment to a county-wide new energy station. The optical cable of the power collection line of this station was laid as part of the project in the early years. The goal of this transformation is to glazing the box-type remote signaling and video backhaul, while trying not to use the original cable and pipeline resources.

Test the old lines first, and keep the ones that can be used.

Before the start of construction, the spare fiber cores were tested core-by-core for light transmission and attenuation. The actual measurement results showed that all fiber cores within the link budget were used. Only two construction-damaged sections were repaired continuously; the pipelines, downlink brackets and manholes were inspected and used. New cable lines have been kept to a minimum, and the amount of excavation has been reduced by more than half compared to the previous year.

Reused accounts: materials and downtime are saved together

The reuse of old cables and pipelines has significantly reduced the cost of optical cable materials and excavation; the cutover only requires short-term interruptions at each machine location, and the power generation and converging services are not affected as a whole. Before shipment, each device is tested at full load and high and low temperature. The test records are accompanied by the batch number to facilitate later demarcation.

There are still spare cores available for subsequent expansion of the site, and the terminal and test data have been archived in the link ledger. For line survey and stall verification before transformation, please contact EB-LINK technical support at 0755-83179002.
