In July, the second phase of the backbone expansion of a certain park was opened. EB-LINK provided modules and wiring equipment for this phase. No new cables were added during the entire process, and all the capacity came from the spare cores that were accounted for when the first phase was completed.

If the second phase does not have enough cables to rely on, the first phase will be reserved.

The first phase of construction is carried out according to three layers of reservation: the spare core is welded to the ODF, the idle port is entered into the ledger, and the rack leaves an empty slot. When doing business in the second phase, the only on-site actions are to insert jumpers according to the ledger, change pairings, and record readings. One period is completed in one day, and there is no need to open the box to refill the melt. The premise is that the accounts in the first phase should be kept in detail, and the core number, port number, and slot number should correspond one to one.

Retesting has also been added to the reuse list

Before lighting, conduct a loss retest on each section and compare it with the first-phase acceptance baseline. If the deviation exceeds 0.5 dB, check the end face and bend first before opening. At this stage, three readings were too high. After cleaning and wiring, they were all restored, and the module level was not upgraded. Check the ledger and the actual price again, and there is no misalignment between the core number and the port. The retest results are directly added to the ledger, and there will be a new baseline for the next expansion.

Deliveries are made according to the account, and each period is cleared.

  • The equipment is packed in sections, and the jumpers and modules are matched in the same box. The whole box can be put in and out, ready for use right out of the box.
  • The module is coded in advance according to the equipment brand in the ledger, plug and play.
  • The received light power is recorded as soon as it is turned on, forming the starting point for the next round.

For parks that have completed the first phase and are preparing to launch the second phase, they can send fiber core ledgers to EB-LINK to organize supply according to accounts; the third phase is already being planned, and new routing pipelines are also included in next year's budget.
