In the past, after samples were sent out, the buyer determined the test items and judged the results by himself. It was difficult to compare the test installation conclusions of different items horizontally. EB-LINK will standardize the sample testing process from this month and deliver use cases, thresholds and report templates together with the samples.
Both parties lock in use cases before sending samples
Before sending samples, the buyer confirms the application scenario and device model, the seller prepares factory data according to the standard use case list, and both parties sign on the same use case form. Use cases cover three categories: actual link measurement (including actual fiber length and number of connectors), device identification and DDM report reading, and continuous operation observation.
Decision thresholds are written into reports rather than spoken
- The transmit power and receive power fall within the specification range and leave an engineering margin.
- Error observation shows no link jitter or port renegotiation within the agreed time period.
- The deviation between the DDM reading and the actual measurement by the instrument is within the acceptable range.
- Temperature rise and status after intensive port insertion are recorded separately
Using SFP Gigabit Multimode Dual Fiber Optical ModuleTaking this type of commonly used model as an example, the report also provides the instrument readings and module self-reported values, which facilitates review by the buyer's quality inspection department and subsequent sampling and comparison.
After passing the test, we will proceed to small batch trial assembly.
After the report is approved, it will be transferred to small batch trial assembly. The trial assembly quantity, cycle and observation indicators will continue to use the same table, and batch orders will be placed according to the confirmed batch caliber. Unsuccessful items will be returned to the rectification link. After the change, only the abnormal sample number will be rechecked, and the entire batch will not need to be retested. Documents of the entire chain are archived with the batch and can be directly referenced during acceptance.
After the process is standardized, procurement will get a reviewable release basis. To apply for samples and use case sheets, please contact 0755-83179002, and technical support will respond within working days.
