This month, the EB-LINK quality inspection process has completed an upgrade: in addition to the existing requirement of testing each product before shipping, two additional random inspections are added to orders in the power industry - wide temperature cycle testing and DDM reading accuracy verification, which first cover optical modules and transceivers.
Why add these two?
A review of faulty parts reported by electric power customers over the past year shows that a considerable proportion of the problems were not unqualified static indicators, but power drift or DDM alarm distortion after repeated changes in temperature. A one-time lighting test in a normal temperature environment cannot detect such hidden dangers, so the temperature cycle is included in the sampling to simulate the repeated stress of the temperature difference between day and night in outdoor cabinets, especially for batches arriving during the autumn and winter seasons.
How to do the new process
- Extract samples according to batches and put them into the temperature cycle box, cycle between low temperature and high temperature gears for several rounds, then retest the transmitting and receiving power, and record the changes in each round;
- Use reference instruments to check the temperature and power readings of DDM, and re-inspect the entire batch if the deviation exceeds the judgment threshold;
- Records are filed according to batches, and copies of sample batch test records are attached with power orders to facilitate Party A's filing for future reference.
What it means for buyers
Purchasers can use batches that have passed temperature cycle sampling for outdoor cabinet scenarios with greater confidence, such as withGigabit single mode dual fiber one optical one electrical fiber optic transceiverCombined remote link. The upgrade does not change the delivery date: spot models are still executed according to the original testing and delivery path, the sampling frequency is dynamically adjusted according to the order volume, and the overall delivery rhythm remains the same as before the upgrade.
