In late February, the first batch of 68 points in a district's old monitoring copper cable fiber optic transformation project were cut over and put online, and EB-LINK supplied backhaul link equipment according to the plan. The new link runs in parallel with the old copper cable, and the old cable is scheduled to be retired only after passing the two-week observation.
The difficulty lies in the cutover window, not in the technology
These points are distributed around traffic arteries. The picture cannot be interrupted during the day, and the cutover can only be done within the window from 23:00 to 5:00 am. The project team rehearsed the process for each point in advance, and changed eight to ten points in a single night. When the monitoring terminal saw the image, it was considered a success. The unfinished points were returned to the old line the next day, which did not affect the daytime map production. Before closing the window, review the changed indicator lights and ledgers to confirm that there are no rollbacks or omissions before calling it a day. The old coaxial point will be accepted together with the control channel that night to avoid a second entry.
What the computer room receives is neatly aggregated
All drop-end devices are centrally uploaded to the same device14-slot box transceiver rack, one slot corresponds to one point, the label is numbered according to the ledger, and the point can be located by looking at the indicator light during inspection. Remove the old wires after observing them in parallel
During the two-week parallel period, the project team randomly tested the light receiving power at both ends of the points every day and compared it with the baseline during the cutover. If there was a downward trend, the joints were checked first before decommissioning. The old demolition schedule was synchronized with the municipal and traffic management, and the opening of manhole covers was reported in batches. The first batch of links has all passed observation, and the second batch of about 90 points has been surveyed. Integrators who need similar cutover rhythm coordination can call EB-LINK 0755-83179002 to communicate and schedule.
