Starting from early February, EB-LINK has added two new random inspections for the factory inspection of armored, anti-rodent jumpers, and pigtails: axial tension testing of metal braiding and armoring layers, and combustion and smoke observation of sheath materials. The original actual insertion loss measurement link one by one remains unchanged.
Why is the tensile test added?
The protective value of armored jumpers is based on the tight engagement between the metal layer, the sheath and the tail boot. Once the braided layer becomes loose, the rodent-proof effect is in name only. The new process involves sampling in batches, applying a stable axial tension to the jumper and holding it for 1 minute, observing whether the braid layer and the tail sleeve have slippage or twisting. If the sample fails, the entire batch will be re-inspected and reworked. This item directly responds to the problem of "the sheath comes off as soon as it is pulled, and the armor layer rotates with it" that has been complained a lot in the past. It also prevents the end protection from being compromised after it is laid and pulled.
How to smoke when the sheath is burning
- The flame retardant performance is randomly inspected according to the vertical burning method: after the fire is removed, the sample should self-extinguish within a limited time without continuous dripping and burning.
- The low-smoke halogen-free sheathed version is also subjected to a smoke observation test to compare the smoke emission with the PVC sample section.
- The random inspection records are compiled into the batch inspection report, which corresponds to the sheath coding batch.
- Projects that require third-party testing can separately apply to retain samples for inspection.
Reports and batches can be checked on the spot during acceptance
After adding two new items, the delivery time of bulk orders is usually extended by 3 to 5 working days, and the standard length of the spot is not affected. When inspecting closed spaces and projects with severe rodent infestation, the inspection records correspond to the physical batches one by one to reduce unnecessary friction.Multimode armored jumpers,Single mode double core armored jumper and Single mode single core armored patch cordAll page products have been included in the upgraded inspection process.
