This month, EB-LINK upgraded the factory quality inspection process of the audio and video optical transceiver product line. In addition to the original pairing and optical power tests, three new tests were added: full-channel full load, high-temperature aging, and audio and video synchronization consistency, and records will be retained one by one.

What is the reason for the change?

The most difficult thing to deal with at the scene is not complete darkness, but occasional occurrences: black flashes once every 40 minutes of the performance, and subtle noise in the audio when the lights are fully turned on. This kind of problem is difficult to expose in a light-load single test because the channel is not full, the temperature inside the machine has not risen, and peripheral interference is not turned on, and the equipment performed normally on the quality inspection bench. The idea of quality inspection has therefore shifted from just being able to pass, to copying the machine according to the actual operating conditions, so that the problem individuals can be revealed in the factory instead of during the live broadcast.

Three new actions

  • Fully loaded: All video and audio channels of a device are connected to the signal at the same time, and it can run continuously for several hours to observe locking and alarms.
  • High-temperature aging: run for a long time after the temperature rises in the warehouse, and screen out individuals with marginal temperature failures
  • Consistency: The sound and picture synchronization delay of the same batch of equipment is measured one by one and converges within the set range. The splicing projects must be in the same batch and in the same file.

What does the customer get?

Each device shipped comes with a test record corresponding to the serial number, which can be traced and reviewed; multi-channel models such as4-way two-way HDMI+network+4-way independent two-way audio optical transceiverA jumper pairing suggestion table is also included. After the upgrade, the shipping cycle of some models has been increased by about one day. In exchange, the on-site troubleshooting hours on the project side have been significantly reduced, and the number of repairs for occasional problems has been reduced.
