This month, EB-LINK has replenished a batch of commonly used spare parts for the substation outdoor communication cabinets used by power customers. The list comes directly fromOptical isolation renovation of a 220kV substation communication networkA ledger of in-use models for other projects is divided into boxes and labeled by station to facilitate machine replacement before and after thunderstorm seasons.

Outdoor cabinets really consume two types of equipment

Judging from the after-sales records, the failure rate of the communication equipment in the station is not high, and the consumables and the lower lead section are the areas where problems occur repeatedly. The inside side of the cabinet is due to module aging and fan dust accumulation caused by long-term high temperature, and the outside side is due to mechanical damage and water ingress at the lower lead. The spare parts list is therefore configured along these two lines:

  • Communication side: Each of the wide-temperature optical module and the two-way data optical transceiver has a certain proportion of spare parts for the whole machine;
  • End side: single-core and double-core armored patch cords are divided into sections according to the length, and equipped with pigtails and adapters;
  • Accessory side: Grounding copper bar connector, waterproof box and identification plate are included with the box.

The selection of wide temperature range is based on the actual temperature measured in the cabinet.

In outdoor cabinets, the temperature inside the cabinet easily exceeds the commercial range in summer, and low-temperature startup in winter affects the stability of the module. The general approach is to record the local historical high and low temperatures and the actual measured values in the cabinet, and then leave a certain margin against the upper and lower limits of the specifications, rather than placing orders based on industry practices. The models shipped out of the warehouse in this round are all according toSingle-mode single-core armored jumpers, mouse-proof jumper pigtails, special jumpers for cabinetsWhen the actual finished product is assembled, the pallet will be accompanied by test records one by one.

Carton labeling significantly shortens line inspection time

In the past, spare parts were mixed and needed to be rummaged through to find the corresponding equipment on site. This time, the boxes are divided into boxes according to intervals and services, and the corresponding channel names and optical port directions are marked on the box surface. During maintenance, the whole box can be brought to the cabinet. Subsequent additions will be made on a rolling basis based on seasons and fault records. See also the selection ideas for power scenarios.Communication transformation plan for electric power and new energy stations.
