The lessons learned from export compliance are often repeated: when the same model changes to the destination market, the label version does not change accordingly, and the number of outer boxes and the packing list do not match. This month, EB-LINK solidified the pre-shipment inspection actions into a self-inspection list, requiring each export batch to be kept on file before release.

Self-inspection starts from the batch number, not from the packing

The first item on the list is to list the correspondence between the production batch number, the document version number and the test record that comes with the goods, and confirm that the calibers are consistent before packing. Batch misalignment is the source of all subsequent troubles: Match the numbers first, so that labels, documents and physical objects have a common basis. When reviewing similar problems, you can locate the link in one step without having to re-open the entire shipment to count.

Three alignments: the shell label, outer box and the label say the same thing

  • The model number and speed file are consistent character by character on the shell label, outer carton mark and packing list.
  • The language version matches the requirements of the target market, and the compliance mark is not obscured by the barcode.
  • The box numbers are consecutive, and the number of pieces, gross and net weight and document data are generated from the same source.
  • The anti-static and divided lining passed the random inspection, and the status of the humidity indicator card was identifiable.

Keep a file to make the next similar order easier

Each batch list is archived together with label samples to form a historical record of searches by model and destination market. When overseas integrators place additional orders, they can directly use the last specification without having to re-communicate the language version and lining method;Communication transformation plan for electric power and new energy stationsFor a category of sub-site supply projects, batch versions are also managed in this way to avoid mixing labels from different sites.

The inventory mechanism has been implemented in the three production lines of optical modules, optical fiber transceivers and passive equipment, and signatures are required to confirm that all items are complete before release during quality inspection.
