There has long been an embarrassment about the shell labels of exported equipment: they are bilingual in Chinese and English before leaving the factory. After being transferred to a third-party market, buyers have to affix another layer themselves, which often covers the barcode and serial number. EB-LINK completed the shell label revision this month and added three optional language versions.
The choice between three methods: pre-printing, labeling or random label change
In the past, shipments were usually prepared with pre-printed Chinese and English versions, and the integrator would affix local language labels after arrival. After the revision, you can directly specify the shell label version when placing an order, and it will be formed immediately after leaving the factory. For a small amount of replenishment orders, the scheme of randomly attaching labels is retained, but it is clearly required that the serial number, laser level prompt and optical port location must not be covered when attaching labels.
Ratings and units this time aligned with caliber
The writing methods of different batches on the old version of the label are inconsistent. For example, some people write the central wavelength as 1310, while others use the unit nm, and the transmission distance line uses km and m mixedly. The new version is arranged in a unified format: speed, wavelength, distance range, power supply and batch number each occupy one line, and the symbol part uses graphical prompts to reduce ambiguity caused by language switching. toGigabit single mode single fiber one optical one electrical fiber optic transceiverFor example, the prompts on the A/B side are changed from text to direction symbols and color codes.
Special characters and fonts are no longer left to be resolved on-site
- Fonts with non-Latin characters are proofed together with the layout to avoid garbled boxes.
- Multiple language versions of the same model share the same material number suffix to prevent warehouse errors.
- The label base material and ink are changed to wear-resistant specifications, and they can still be read after being wiped with alcohol.
