Recently, EB-LINK cooperated with the integrator to complete the delivery of a batch of equipment for a provincial highway tunnel monitoring optical fiber project. The core is8-channel video + 1-channel reverse 485 data video optical transceiver, image return and information board control share one optical fiber.
Why does the tunnel combine video and 485 for transmission?
A group of cameras are deployed every tens of meters in the tunnel. There are also vehicle inspection coils and variable information boards at the entrance. The control signals are mostly RS485 bus. In the past, the video optical transceiver was used for images and a separate data link was used for control. Each of the two devices in the field box was equipped with its own power supply. The wiring was dense and there were many fault points. After switching to a model with 8 channels of video and 1 channel of reverse 485, the image uplink and detection distribution share the same fiber core. Only one device is installed in the field box, and the wiring and power supply are simple.
What do customers actually get in this batch of goods?
- The cameras and the cave entrance information board are numbered uniformly according to the cave number, and the labels at both ends of the link are paired. The fiber core number and wavelength are written clearly in one handover, without relying on the master's memory.
- The reverse 485 channel is connected to the branch port of the vehicle detector and the information board to prevent multiple devices from being crowded on the same bus and pulling each other.
- The serial numbers of the arriving batches are registered one by one and a live test is performed. Later, traceability is traced by route. If there is a problem on any route, the equipment can be directly located.
How to plan for subsequent expansion?
This set of numbers and fiber splitting methods refer toOptical fiber project for vehicle monitoring system in highway tunnel in a province, when only adding camera positions in the future, just add a road to the idle channel, there is no need to re-lay the optical cable, and the working surface in the cave can be opened less often.
