Recently, EB-LINK has upgraded the factory inspection process of its video optical transceiver product line. On the basis of the previous unit-by-unit testing, it has added a full-channel live test of the entire machine. The test records are accompanied by the goods. The goal is to prevent channel-level problems of multi-channel equipment at the warehouse stage.
Why strengthen complete machine testing?
Multi-channel video optical transceivers have many interfaces, and individual channel anomalies are not easily exposed during random inspections of a single unit. They are often not discovered until all are put on the project site for debugging. Round-trip replacement will delay the construction period and cost labor. Especially in projects with centralized deployment of multiple models, a blocked road may slow down the opening of the entire area. This is also the direct reason for this upgrade of the quality inspection process. By advancing the full-channel lighting test to the factory stage, problems can be reissued or replaced at the warehouse, and the certainty of on-site activation is significantly improved.
What content does the new inspection cover?
- Each video channel is connected to the screen and the locking status is observed channel by channel;
- Reverse data channel loopback verification command sending and receiving direction and rate;
- Listen to the audio channels one by one to confirm there is no noise or crosstalk;
- After charging and aging, record the status of the indicator light and the appearance of the device.

Impact on lead times
After the process upgrade, the delivery time for customized batches has been slightly extended, but the time for on-site debugging and replacement has been significantly shortened, making the overall construction period more controllable. The company stated that it will continue to improve the inspection item list of the optical transceiver product line based on the feedback from the first batch of records delivered with the goods.
