This month, EB-LINK completed the upgrade of coding services for all series of optical modules. Based on mainstream switch brands such as Cisco, Huawei, H3C, ZTE, and Ruijie, it has expanded the code library for storage switch and virtualization platform networking scenarios. All optical modules still provide free coding customization.
Why does storage network care about coding?
Some switches will verify the manufacturer information in the module. If the identification fails, the port will not light up, or the link will barely come up but an exception will be reported. The business network can also make do with problems. Once the storage network is shaken, there is a risk of disk interruption. Therefore, the fault tolerance for module compatibility is much lower than in ordinary scenarios. This is also the reason why virtualization customers repeatedly confirm the coding when purchasing.
Coverage of this upgrade
- SFP+ 10G series, includingSFP+ 10G multi-mode dual-fiber optical module and SFP+ 10G single-mode dual-fiber 10km optical module, covering both intra-cabinet and cross-building links.
- 2.5G, 25G and 100G high-speed module code libraries are updated simultaneously to coordinate with the cluster speed-up transformation.
- The coding record is archived with the batch and the order, and the customer can directly call it according to the switch model when replenishing the goods later.
Test one by one after writing the code
After the module is coded, continue to complete the luminous power, light receiving sensitivity and DDM reporting tests one by one. Only if all modules are qualified will be shipped. The test data is provided with the goods. Customers who want to replace storage network modules in batches can obtain a one-stop list of modules and jumpers by providing the switch model and link length.
