Modules that pass the test one by one at room temperature will experience intermittent packet loss after being installed in an outdoor cabinet. This is a common reason for repair in wide temperature scenarios. EB-LINK has expanded the temperature test station in recent months, incorporated retesting of both high and low temperatures into the factory process, and added power-on drift measurements to the aging rack simultaneously.

The high and low temperature box is filled with readings from both ends.

In terms of the process, a full inspection at room temperature is performed first, and then representative units are selected according to the batch and put into boxes. At the low temperature end, check whether the laser threshold and light output collapse, and at the high temperature end, check whether the sensitivity of the receiving side and the DDM report drift. The industrial grade range covers -40 ℃ to 85 ℃, and the commercial grade range is usually confirmed based on 0 ℃ to 70 ℃. The two types of orders are scheduled separately. The transceivers and optical transceivers used in outdoor cabinets and tunnel entrances are also packed into the box. The shell temperature of the equipment in the form of a complete machine rises faster than that of the module, and the temperature measurement position is fixed according to the workstation regulations.

The aging rack operation has been changed from random inspection to batch inspection.

After high-temperature power-on for a period of time, retest, compare the difference between the luminous power and the reading on the receiving side, and determine how many dB the drift falls within. The power-on time and stress temperature are written in the accompanying record in pairs. There are two more columns for temperature in the package report

  • The batch number, location in the box and insulation time should be written on the same line. Only after acceptance can the conditions be reproduced.
  • Only the actual measured values are written in the low temperature and high temperature columns, and no range extrapolation is performed.
  • For orders that require wide-temperature full screening, mark the level when placing the order to avoid reporting based on sampling.

Temperature stations are scheduled according to order levels, and the same batch can be selected for sampling temperature retesting or full high and low temperature screening.
