Recently, EB-LINK delivered a batch of 100M optical fiber transceivers to a dormitory building in a high-tech park. The main force is a combination of one optical and four electrical, using a single-core optical cable that has been laid out to provide access control, monitoring and office access at the same time. The delivery is in two batches, and a port and wavelength comparison table is included with the goods.
Why Choose Combo Port Model
The park only puts one optical fiber to the weak current room of the building, but the terminal has four channels of 100M equipment.100M single mode single fiber 1 optical 1 electrical + 1 optical 4 electrical fiber optic transceiverOne solution: the optical side uses a single fiber for paired transmission, and the electrical side has multiple downlink ports, which saves independent power supply and installation space compared to pulling optical cables or adding small switches; in weak current rooms where there are no sockets, one combined device has three fewer adapters than four single machines, and there are three fewer fault points. Floors with dual-fiber links are equipped with100M single-mode dual-fiber one-optical four-electrical fiber optic transceiver. Calculated according to the park point table, the total traffic of the four-way downlink is about 30M, which can be covered by the 100M gear and leaves a margin.
Two management actions in delivery
- Print the pairing list according to the building, label the A and B ends of the single-fiber equipment, and install the weak current room with numbers.
- Before shipment, power on each unit one by one and try to connect each electrical port to avoid port abnormalities being discovered on site.
- The building number is written into the list, and returns and reissues locate the original matching relationship by number.
What does the customer get?
After the project goes online, optical cables will no longer need to be reconnected for new monitoring points in the building, and access expansion will only be completed on the electrical port side; no spare optical cables will be used in this delivery, and the overall fiber core resources will be reserved for subsequent access control upgrades.
