The caliber of factory inspection varies greatly in different markets, and shipments based on a single custom are often required to provide supplementary data. EB-LINK has recently changed export batches to hierarchical inspection, with full inspection items one by one and selected items by batch being arranged in partitions in the accompanying documents.

Full inspection items and sampling items are listed separately

Projects such as normal temperature luminous and light receiving power, code writing verification, and power-on connectivity are still done one by one; time-consuming or lossy projects such as high and low temperature retests, aging, eye diagrams, and bit errors are sampled in batches, and the sampling quantity and judgment threshold are noted. The two types of results are reported in separate columns, so that overseas buyers can comply with local requirements when doing factory inspection and acceptance, and it is also convenient to quote the same data when reselling.

The selection criteria are written on the first page of the report

  • A large batch size does not mean that a large number of samples are taken. The sample size and the number of qualified judgments are given according to the gear.
  • When similar problems occur continuously, the system will be temporarily tightened and the sample size will be doubled.
  • Passive components focus on insertion loss and return loss, leaving an image on the end face and appearance.
  • After multiple consecutive batches are stabilized, they will fall back to the normal level as agreed to avoid long-term tightening of delivery delays.

Move the dispute forward, no need to send back the whole box

The graded inspection is combined with the batch sample retention system. After the arrival of the goods, by comparing the retained samples with the data accompanying the goods, most judgments can be closed at the destination port, saving two or three weeks of round-trip shipping, and the cutover window is no longer occupied by inspection disputes.

This solution has been used in multiple shipment batches this month, covering optical modules, transceivers and passive equipment. Customers who need to know grading details or arrange sample delivery can contact 0755-83179002.
