A multi-tenant office building recently completed indoor access renovation. EB-LINK delivered 100M, one optical, four electrical and single-fiber transceivers in batches by floor, replacing the past practice of pulling copper cables down the shaft one by one. After the renovation, only a few optical cables and power lines remain in the shafts on each floor.

One fiber optic ribbon access

For indoor use100M single-mode dual-fiber one-optical four-electrical fiber optic transceiver, the optical port is in the weak current room, and the four electrical ports are respectively located in the conference room, open area and cubicle information point. Each tenant unit only occupies one core; small households or units with fewer points can be used instead.100M single mode single fiber 1 optical 1 electrical + 1 optical 2 electrical fiber optic transceiver, the A/B ends on a single fiber can be paired and do not occupy too much of the trunk.

Centralized shelving on the weak current room side

After the indoor transceiver is replaced with a low-power model, the weak current room side is installed into the rack, and the power supply and labels are concentrated in a counter. During inspection, you can judge the link status of each tenant by opening the door and looking at the indicator light. The fault boundaries are also divided by counters. A label tape is left above the rack, and a port comparison table is posted on the inside of the cabinet door, so that newcomers can quickly locate it.

The benefits are reflected in three places

  • The number of core wires and jumpers in the shaft is reduced, and the workload of fire prevention and sealing of the orifice is also reduced.
  • When a tenant changes, only the weak current room and indoor ends will be affected, and the trunk optical cable will not be re-distributed.
  • The optical link is not affected by the crosstalk of parallel strong and weak electricity in the office area.
  • Indoor equipment is managed by unified power supply from the weak current room side, and the number of adapters is reduced.

The remaining spare parts for this batch of projects have been packed and handed over to the property management company by floor. A comparison table of the number of core wires on each floor before and after the transformation was also handed over with the goods to facilitate subsequent inventory. The EB-LINK 100M transceiver series is in sufficient stock. The supply rhythm of similar projects can be negotiated by calling 0755-83179002.
