EB-LINK recently organized and launched a network card driver support area on the official website, which collects commonly used Windows Server and Linux driver packages, firmware and driver version comparison tables, and installation guides for fiber optic network cards into one place, making it easier for installation and operation and maintenance personnel to get them all at once and no longer looking for drivers everywhere.

What content is included in the special area?

Driver packages are classified by chip platform: 82599 and X550 correspond to the ixgbe series, XXV710 corresponds to i40e, and E810 corresponds to ice. On the Windows side, press the system version to provide the corresponding installation package, and on the Linux side, the kernel version and source code package are distinguished. Each download item is marked with the applicable model, verified firmware version, and update date. You can also follow the picture for the first installation.

Why do fiber optic network cards need to be equipped with drivers?

Advanced capabilities such as optical port link status reporting, optical module DDM information reading, multi-queue and SR-IOV are all concentrated in the driver layer. If the driver is selected incorrectly, the Jumbo Frame option may not be visible, or the link may flip repeatedly. The special area also indicates which type of system each card has completed actual installation verification, such asPCI-EX8 10 Gigabit single electrical port network card (Intel 82599 chip)The corresponding Server version list reduces the cost of on-site trial and error.

Access methods and support channels

  • First check the table in the area to confirm the chip and system versions, and then download the corresponding driver package.
  • Embedded systems or special releases can report the kernel version and model, and technical support will be provided for matching solutions.
  • If you encounter a recognition exception during installation, please call 0755-83179002 for consultation on working days.

All fiber optic network cards are shipped after testing one by one, and the drivers and test records are shipped with the goods. The special area will continue to include new firmware driver combinations. It is recommended that projects review the version number before migrating.
