With the increasing demand for 25G access layer transformation, EB-LINK has recently expanded its standing inventory of 25G dual-port optical fiber network cards, providing two chip platforms with the same port specification:PCI-EX8 25G dual optical port fiber optic network card (Intel XXV710 chip) and PCI-EX8 25G dual optical port fiber optic network card (Intel E810 chip), all support SR-IOV and are oriented to virtualization and cloud business hosts.

Why does one port require two platforms?

XXV710 is a classic solution of the 25G generation with mature drivers and good compatibility in existing 25G switch environments; the addition of E810 is that the ports generally support 10G and 25G self-adaptation and have the ability to offload data paths, making it suitable for new networks and projects with evolution routes to 100G. The requirements for the two card slots are the same. Single-channel 25G requires at least PCIe 3.0 x4. For dual-port full load, x8 slots are recommended. Before installation, check the slot generation and channel number according to the motherboard manual. From existing projects with smooth migration of 10G and switch ports that have not yet been replaced, it is safer to choose the adaptive model.

Supporting delivery and testing process

This expansion simultaneously prepares SFP28 multi-mode and single-mode modules,25G DAC high speed cableand LC-LCOM4 jumpers, network cards and accessories can be placed in the same delivery order. The modules are tested on the machine one by one before leaving the factory. The switch brand and code model are programmed in advance according to the equipment list provided by the customer, and are put on the shelf for debugging directly upon arrival.

Subsequent stocking and sample card loan testing arrangements

EB-LINK will update the stocking structure of 25G and 100G grades on a quarterly rolling basis, and retain a sample card lending and testing channel. Integrators and end users can call 0755-83179002 to check real-time inventory and test schedules.
