EB-LINK recently delivered a batch of 25G optical fiber network cards to a manufacturing company in East China for the transformation of its production system computer room. The customer's original servers mainly use 10G single uplink. As the bandwidth of MES and data cloud links is tight, it was decided to build a new 25G access layer. This supply will be based onPCI-EX8 25G dual optical port fiber optic network card (Intel XXV710 chip)Main model.
Difficulties of the project are completed within the non-stop production window
The customer's production line operates continuously during the day, and the available downtime windows are concentrated at night and weekends. Most servers are half-height chassis. After arrival, check the bezel orientation and the number of slot channels to avoid discovering on the day of installation that the x4 slot cannot run up to dual-port 25G. The original LC multi-mode jumpers are used on the wiring side, and the links in the same cabinet are switched to 25G DAC to reduce the construction volume. The cross-cabinet links are equipped with SFP28 multi-mode modules, and the sending and receiving light and negotiation speed are recorded one by one.
Acceptance results and customer benefits
Each module is tested one by one before delivery. The compatibility of the network card and switch brand is verified at the sample card stage. After the bulk goods arrive, they are directly put on the shelves, and the switch is completed within the night window. After binding the dual ports as master and backup, the service will not be interrupted if any uplink fails; the single-channel 25G significantly shortens the backup window of the virtualization platform, and the synchronization delay of the MES database is also reduced.
