When the equipment arrives in port, many of the defects are not due to factory issues, but rather to packaging that is not designed according to transportation conditions. The road conditions, number of stacking layers, and warehousing time in export scenarios all exceed the levels of domestic express delivery. Packaging must be processed in layers: the inner layer is anti-static, the middle layer is moisture-proof and compartmentalized, and the outer layer is resistant to stacking.
The inner layer of anti-static and desiccant must be used together
Optical modules and network card bare-board devices are packaged in anti-static bags. Sufficient desiccant is placed in the bag and a humidity indicator card can be installed to facilitate the recipient to determine whether it is invalid at a glance. It needs to be reminded that vacuuming does not mean moisture-proof: desiccant must still be placed in the bag, and pressing it too tightly may also cause the bag to be sealed.SFP Gigabit electrical port moduleIf this type of device with a metal pull ring is deformed, the general approach is to seal it normally without vacuuming.
The middle layer is lined with compartments to solve vibration and lateral pressure.
- The modules only fit into the grid, and the golden fingers and the pull tabs are in the same direction to avoid collision with each other.
- 100G DAC high speed cableBundle according to the minimum coiling diameter and do not fold in half and press on the corners of the box
- The armored jumpers and pigtails are separated by separate layers to prevent the metal outer armor from scratching the end faces of other devices.
- The gaps in the box are filled with filler to prevent the stack from collapsing due to shipping sloshing.
The outer mark and pallet writing method determine the unloading efficiency
The outer box should be marked with at least the consignee code, part number (such as C/NO. 3-12), gross and net weight, box size and origin identification, and an upper limit for the number of stacking layers should be given; the box numbers of the same shipment must be consecutive. Missing numbers will make counting a fiasco. Fumigation-free materials such as plywood are preferred for pallets. If solid wood is used, it must be marked with compliance treatment. When wrapping, wrap the corners of the box and the pallet together to prevent scratches from forklift operations.
EB-LINK prepares packaging for export orders according to the above-mentioned layers, and provides details of single box weight and number of pieces by category, which facilitates customers to plan customs clearance and inland transportation arrangements in advance.
