High-quality recorded and broadcasted classes must synchronize multi-channel camera images, teacher courseware and classroom sound pickup back to the control room. Once the wrong link is selected, the picture will be out of sync or color shifted later, and the rework cost will be much higher than budgeted. Before choosing a model, distinguish three things.
First confirm whether the transmitted signal is baseband signal or network code stream
If the recording and broadcasting host performs encoding within the campus network, network cables or optical fiber transceivers can be used, and the link only needs bandwidth guarantee. If the original HDMI or SDI signal is sent directly to the broadcasting station, a non-compressed video optical transceiver must be used, such as1-way 3G-SDI audio and video optical transceiver, this method has no encoding delay and the picture color is more stable, suitable for live broadcast and large-screen splicing.
Distance determines whether to use multi-mode or single-mode
For links on the same floor or within 300 meters in the same building, multi-mode solutions are more economical; for links over 1 km across buildings or from the playground to the laboratory building, it is recommended to use single-mode directly. When selecting multi-mode gears, you should review the length and bending of the jumpers. A common problem on site is that the cable is pressed in the podium wire trough, causing increased loss, which is mistakenly judged as an equipment failure.
Leave enough return and audio channels on one side of the control room
Recording and broadcasting classrooms usually require image downlink, teacher tracking, and two-way channels for the control panel and microphone.4-way two-way HDMI+network+4-way independent two-way audio optical transceiverThe four-channel signals and audio can be separated independently, and if there is a problem with one channel, it will not affect other classrooms. It is recommended to reserve a reverse network channel in the same batch to facilitate remote debugging. The main differences in selection of recording and broadcasting links lie in signal type, distance and number of channels. EB-LINK can check the channel and wavelength according to the recording and broadcasting list, call 0755-83179002.
