Image retrieval and uploading are slow, which is often attributed to insufficient storage speed on site, but more often the problem is rate negotiation, insufficient optical power margin, or a certain jumper is bent. The following set of troubleshooting sequences is suitable for the hospital information department to do it themselves. By following the steps, you can avoid replacing a few modules that should not be replaced.

First look at the negotiation rate to determine whether the link is a real bottleneck.

Check the negotiation results at both ends of the image server and access switch at the same time. If the server side only runs to Gigabit and the port is 10G, first check whether the module speed type and cable are mismatched. When a multi-mode module is connected to a single-mode optical fiber or the OM3 jumper is pulled beyond the 300-meter boundary, the link will be up but bit errors will continue to rise. At this time, first check whether the error packet count increases linearly with the traffic, and then decide which section to move.

Measure the luminous intensity direction by direction, taking into account the 3dB margin.

Unplug the jumper on the device side and use an optical power meter to measure direction by direction. The receiving sensitivity of a common 10 Gigabit single-mode 10 km module is about -20dBm. It is recommended that the measured light reception is about 3dB higher than this lower limit to allow for end face aging and cleaning loss. If there is only about 1dB left in a certain section, clean the end face and retest. If it is still low, check the welding point, patch panel adapter and bending radius. Do not replace the module to cover up the problem.

After sorting out the jumpers, decide whether to expand the capacity or not.

A common problem in weak current rooms in hospitals is that jumpers are squeezed out of small bends by cable ties and cabinet doors are squeezed repeatedly. It is recommended that the bending radius of the fiber coil should not be less than 30mm. It is recommended that the ends of the sections that are easily touched and pulled be replaced withSingle-mode single-core armored jumpers, anti-mouse jumper pigtails, special jumpers for Internet cafes, special jumpers for cabinetsSpecial model for this type of cabinet. Confirm that there is no problem with the link itself, and then evaluate the speed increase: short-distance replacementSFP+ 10G single-mode dual-fiber 10km optical module, the server side that needs to leave bandwidth margin can directly accessPCI-EX8 25G dual optical port fiber optic network card (Intel E810 chip).

After three steps, you can usually locate the problem to a certain section of optical fiber or a certain port. EB-LINK technical support can be determined based on the wavelength, distance and port list provided by the hospital, call 0755-83179002.
