When mosaics, smearing, or occasional freezes appear on the surveillance screen, many people's first reaction is that there is a problem with the fiber optic transformation. The three types of phenomena correspond to three levels of causes. If you first determine the causes layer by layer and then take action, you can avoid many detours.
Before completing the mosaic, check the light path layer first.
The appearance of mosaics in pieces and accompanied by instantaneous current interruptions are mostly related to bit errors and packet loss: first read whether the light receiving power of the device is close to the lower limit of sensitivity, and then check whether there is dust accumulation on the end face of the connector. Points where the link distance is too long or the margin is too small can be usedGigabit single mode dual fiber one optical one electrical fiber optic transceiverShift verification, switch side port coordinationSFP Gigabit single mode dual fiber 10KM optical moduleCheck the distance gear. If the phenomenon disappears after changing gears, it means that the original link is critical. The reading is based on the ledger baseline. Retest twice before drawing a conclusion.
Let's take a look at bandwidth and code stream first.
- Count how many channels are connected to the aggregation port, and whether the sum of the main streams of each channel exceeds the available uplink bandwidth. If it exceeds, it is a convergence ratio problem;
- Check whether the main bit rate of the camera has been increased recently. If the encoding change is not synchronized with the network side, it will appear as screen smearing;
- When video shares a channel with other services, check whether the VLAN and priority policies still leave bandwidth for video.
Single point degradation is mostly in the camera itself
When there is only one point with color cast or fog and the adjacent points of the link are normal, the suspicion of the optical path is very small. Focus on checking for dirty shields, lens fogging and power supply fluctuations. Power supply abnormalities often occur at night and can be matched with the picture timestamp. One sentence to determine the cause: For segmented faults, check the optical path and bandwidth, and for single-point faults, check the camera itself. If you still can't determine the boundary according to this sequence, you can call EB-LINK 0755-83179002 with the ledger baseline data for review.
