When reviewing the all-optical network FTTH project in the high-tech park office building, the owners rated the operation and maintenance handover link higher than the construction itself: Passive optical network faults were rare, but tenants changed frequently, and the owners had no choice but to wait for the integrator. How to do this review and handover? See the project background.Integrated wiring and all-optical network FTTH project for high-tech park office buildings.
Step one: Get started with three basic movements
- Which side of the ODF should you pull out the jumper from, and which direction should you press the buckle;
- Proper use of end dust caps and One-Click cleaning pen;
- How to read the received optical power after the change, and how low should I call technical support?
The training does not require entering the conference room. Two sets of vacant units are selected and the entire process from commissioning to testing is completed. The owner's engineer must complete it independently. For those who have never encountered ODF, asking the instructor to deliberately insert a dirty jumper to see if the light receiving power drops is more effective than giving ten pages of material.
Step 2: Spare parts are delivered by unit
Combined with the weak current room configuration of each layer, connect jumpers, adapters, writable code SFP modules andGigabit single mode single fiber one optical one electrical fiber optic transceiverThe tenants' commonly used items are packed into handover unit boxes, and the quantity corresponds to the number of floors. A broken item is replaced in its entirety instead of being purchased temporarily.
Step 3: Solidify the tenant activation process
The room entry jumper, transceiver power-up, and coding module use are strung together into a one-page flow chart. After the handover was completed, the tenant activation time was shortened from the original 3 days to 2 hours, and the owner could handle it independently in the building. After the transformation, similar interruption work orders did not appear in the shaft wiring section.
