Whether the fiber optic transformation of security monitoring will go smoothly or not is mostly decided during the survey stage. Many projects place a material order after visiting the site for a day or two. During construction, they find that the fiber core is not enough and the distance is out of range, so they can only rework and add money. The survey should fall into the record of each point, and the record should clearly describe six aspects.
Record six items for each point
- Current situation: What kind of backhaul does the camera use now, coaxial, network cable or power carrier? Record the actual measurement item by item, do not rely on guesswork;
- Distance: Don't use the straight-line distance on the map. Measure along the actual route of the pipeline. A two-kilometer straight-line route often exceeds two and a half kilometers;
- Pipes and manholes: record the ownership unit, remaining capacity and blockage position, which determine whether the new optical cable can pass through;
- Lead down position and drop end: The point on the pole determines the lead down position of the optical cable on the spot, and the available port area is recorded at the end of the computer room.
The number of cores and lead pins must be opened and measured.
You need to open the ODF to check the available fiber cores one by one, and check the active cores and spare cores respectively. When guiding, you need to check whether there are rodents and sunlight on site. These details determine whether to use ordinary jumpers or armored solutions at the end. For points within 6 km and with only one core in the pipe hole, the link generally needs to be directed towards the single fiber direction.Gigabit single mode single fiber one optical one electrical fiber optic transceiverThis is a common configuration for this type of point. Before starting the survey, it is recommended to checkSecurity video surveillance fiber optic transmission solutionAccording to the typical scenario here, all items in the record list must be set, and EB-LINK technical support can assist in reviewing whether items are missing in the survey record sheet.
Results condensed into two pages
The survey results finally converged into two results: a point-by-point link list and a material summary table. Each point in the list indicates the distance, fiber core number, single fiber or dual fiber, and equipment models at both ends; the summary table counts the quantities by model, and is shared by both delivery, construction and acceptance. After checking these two pages clearly, the subsequent cutover and accounting can only be discussed. The investigation of the missing pages means that no investigation has been done.
