The same batch of fault phenomena are often dealt with together: disconnection at night, screen freezes, and restarting as soon as the infrared light is turned on. The order of judgment should be to measure the power supply first and then look at the flow rate. The tools and conclusions required for the two methods are completely different.

Three typical characteristics of the power supply side

Insufficient power supply is related to strong load: faults are concentrated at sunrise and sunset, infrared input, and pan/tilt movement. During the day, everything is usually normal; the switch port status switches back and forth between protection and enablement; shorten the network cable or change the port, and the problem will be alleviated. During the inspection, use a tester with power supply measurement to read the voltage and current of the receiving end, and compare it with the rated value on the point meter to see if it is undervoltage, over-limit, or failure to reach the handshake. This type of phenomenon occurs inGigabit single mode dual fiber one optical one electrical fiber optic transceiverThis is especially common on the lower hanging section of pole-side equipment.

The signals on the bandwidth side are different

  • It is stuck at the same time during the peak period and normal during the trough period in the middle of the night, which has nothing to do with the light and infrared status.
  • Packet loss is concentrated on the uplink port, and the camera itself does not go offline or restart, but the screen is mosaic.
  • It first occurs when multi-channel sharing is used for uplink. Expanding the uplink capacity or downshifting the code stream immediately alleviates the problem.
  • Multicast or wireless network access points are also superimposed with air interface competition, which needs to be looked at separately.

Organize the point number, measured voltage and current, port output power, fault occurrence time and load status at that time (infrared, pan/tilt, heating is on or not) into a table. Technical support can quickly determine whether the problem is insufficient budget, too long cables or equipment matching issues.
