Customers who place a batch coding order for the first time are often confused about what they need to provide and which step to confirm the sample. This article lays out the process according to the actual delivery sequence, and notes the information that needs to be confirmed at each step.
The first step: three pieces of information to determine the code type and selection
- The switch brand, specific model and firmware version determine which set of codes to write;
- The port speed and link distance determine the module model, and 10km 10G uplink is optional.SFP+ 10G single-mode dual-fiber 10km optical module;
- Single-fiber BiDi scenarios need to be ordered in pairs with crossed wavelengths, and the code patterns at both ends must be consistent;
- For batches that are reused across brands, the quantities are reported in groups by brand to facilitate cartoning and labeling.
Step 2: Proof one piece and put it on the machine for actual measurement and then put it into production.
For batch orders, it is recommended to burn one or two samples and send them back for actual testing: confirm port identification, DDM readings and stable link operation. The proofing passing standards must be agreed in advance, whether it can be identified, or whether it requires continuous power-on operation without alarms. Different standards require different time consumption. What this step eliminates is the risk of rework when code patterns are found to be inconsistent after the entire batch is written.
Step 3: Batch coding, testing one by one, labeling and cartoning
After the sample is confirmed, it enters batch programming, and each module undergoes three processes: readback verification, optical port testing and labeling. The label generally contains the module model, wavelength and distance, target brand code type and measured transmitting and luminescence values. It is divided into boxes according to the code type and a batch number corresponding table is attached with the box. After arrival, the products are distributed to the cabinets according to the table, and the shelf personnel do not need to make additional judgments. Batch coding orders for EB-LINK standard code types are generally shipped within three working days after proofing confirmation. Urgent projects can be negotiated for expedited scheduling.
Prepare information according to this list, and batch coding orders can basically be placed correctly at one time. For process details, special model confirmation or expedited scheduling, please call 0755-83179002.
