The question that buyers often ask is "Is there CE?" The judgment needs to go back: which directive the product falls into determines whether it requires a declaration, only needs to declare materials, or is evaluated as a component with the complete machine.
First distinguish the complete machine, power supply module and passive components
Finished products such as switches and racks that are connected to the mains usually involve both electromagnetic compatibility and electrical safety; SFP and SFP+ modules are powered by terminal equipment and are themselves low-voltage DC components. In most cases, they are used as components to complete the evaluation with the complete machine. Passive components such as LC/SC jumpers, adapters, and attenuators are neither live nor active interference. In practice, they are generally shipped with materials and environmental protection statements. If you make the wrong classification, the documents you prepare later will be completely misaligned.
The thresholds for safety clauses and electromagnetic compatibility clauses are different
Two points that need to be paid attention to are the power supply method and voltage level: only equipment that is powered by AC mains and has a rated voltage within the scope of the safety directive can be evaluated for electrical safety; products that are powered by DC or PoE on the equipment side usually only comply with electromagnetic compatibility. to14-slot box transceiver rackFor example, when equipped with AC power supply, it belongs to the caliber of the whole machine, and theGigabit single mode single fiber one optical one electrical fiber optic transceiverIt's just the module caliber, the two files cannot be mixed.
There are three things that can easily overturn the labeling method:
- The proportion and height of the logo shall be in accordance with the specifications, and shall be printed in a wear-resistant position and shall not be placed on a small sticker that will fall off as soon as it is torn off.
- The model number in the declaration file must be consistent character by character with the shell label. Multi-rate series are issued separately by model number.
- Only copies of technical documents and declaration of conformity are provided with the goods, and no certificate number that cannot be verified is included.
EB-LINK's approach is to first register the destination market, equipment form and power supply method when receiving an order, and then confirm which type of documents need to be provided; the specific obligations are still subject to the regulations of the destination market and the importer's confirmation. If necessary, the buyer is prompted to have the local importer review it to avoid using a general statement to cover all orders.
