The unit-by-unit test report is the core certificate for the arrival acceptance of the operator's metropolitan area network project. Many engineering teams only count the quantities and then sign, only to discover that individual module parameters do not match the links until the cutover. Verifying the report does not require professional equipment, just follow the following sequence.

First confirm that the report corresponds to the physical batch

Check three things: whether the model on the report is consistent with the order, whether the batch number is consistent with the box label, and whether the number of items in the report is consistent with the quantity in the box. Reports that do not match the batches are considered invalid vouchers, and the manufacturer is required to supplement the data of the corresponding batch before signing for receipt. Do not sign first and then supplement the information.

If a site arrives at two distance ranges at the same time, for exampleSFP 2.5G single mode dual fiber 40KM optical moduleIf mixed with short-range models, the reports must be separated by model and cannot be mixed in one table.

Key points for determining four types of data

  • Transmit power: falls within the nominal range, and the dispersion of the same batch is generally controlled within 2dB.
  • Receiving sensitivity: Compared with the link budget, this item should be focused on for long-distance links.
  • Working current and case temperature: reflect consistency. If the unit is obviously higher, it is recommended to mark it for re-inspection.
  • DDM Readings: Verify that the diagnostic values in the report deviate acceptably from the values read by the device after power-on.

Sampling ratio and sample retention

Projects that have covered the entire shipment quantity are reported one by one. Sampling inspections on arrival can be placed at 3% to 5%, focusing on optical critical and long-link ports. Use the same instrument and test jumper for random inspection to avoid introducing additional errors. It is recommended to keep two samples sealed and marked with batch numbers as a technical reference for subsequent disputes.

Write down the sampling quantity, judgment conclusion and sample number on the acceptance form. File the data and report together. Do not leave only the electronic file when delivering it to the operation and maintenance party.
