Monitoring optical fiber transformation and laying out a few cores of optical cables. If you order more, the budget will be tight. If you order less, you will not be able to add more cores later. There are three accounts to calculate when planning the number of cores: business usage, spare ratio and single fiber conversion.
Number of cores folded by business
- Video backhaul is calculated as one core per pair of dual-fiber links. Gigabit points and 100M points occupy the same cores, and the speed does not affect the number of cores;
- Independent services such as traffic dispatching and access control data occupy separate cores and do not compete with video;
- When multiple points are connected to one convergence point, first convert the number of cores according to the uplink link, and then multiply by the number of convergence points. Do not multiply directly by points.
The bigger the spare ratio, the better.
A common practice is to leave 30% to 50% spare cores for business usage, and this can be increased by one level for sections such as central dividers that are difficult to re-excavate and lay in the future. The number of cores is reserved, and the capacity of the ODF at the drop end must be fully configured at the same time. Otherwise, if there are cores but no ports, it means that there is no reservation. During the pipeline resource planning stage, report these two numbers together and do not purchase them in two parts.
Single-fiber link folded usage
For sections with tight pipe holes and sensitive cost, some points can be converted into single-fiber bidirectional links: one transmitter and one receiver share one core.Gigabit single mode single fiber one optical one electrical fiber optic transceiverA and B terminals can be deployed in pairs. When one pole needs to return three road links at the same time,Gigabit single mode single fiber 1 optical 1 electrical + 1 optical 2 electrical fiber optic transceiverOne core has three electrical ports, and the number of cores used is reduced by one level. Which cores should be changed to single fiber and which ones should be guaranteed to be double fiber, depends on the distance range and the consistency of spare parts. It is recommended to unify the entire section rather than mix and match point by point to facilitate future spare parts.
After the three calculations are completed, the number of optical cable cores, transceiver form and wiring capacity are determined together. EB-LINK can perform core verification on your behalf according to the link list, call 0755-83179002.
